Cream Cheese Filling

Yield: 10 oz

Ingredients:

1 8 oz package cream cheese, room temperature
¼ cup (1.75 oz / 50 g) sugar
1 tbl (.3 oz / 8 g) flour

1 large egg yolk
1 tbl sour cream
1 tsp unsalted butter, melted
½ tsp lemon rind
½ tsp vanilla extract

Tools and equipment needed:

  • Countertop mixer with beater attachment or handheld mixer and mixing bowl.

Pre-recipe preparations:

  • Place machine bowl and whip attachment in the refrigerator
  • Set small saucepan with about an inch of water over a medium flame. 

Directions:

  1. Cream together the cream cheese, sugar, and flour.
  2. Mix in egg yolk, melted butter, sour cream, lemon rind and vanilla extract.
  3. Beat until smooth.
