Simple Syrup

Ingredients
1 cup (8 fl oz) cold water
1 cup + 1.5 tbl (8 oz / 227 g) sugar
Tools and equipment needed:
- 1 small saucepan
- Liquid cup measure, scale or dry cup measure plus tablespoon measuring set
Directions:
- Place sugar and water in saucepan and stir to combine, being careful not to get sugar granules on the sides of the pan.
- Over medium heat bring to a boil.
- Simmer for 30 seconds to make sure all the sugar is dissolved.
